Show And Tell Monday ~ One Of My Favorite Days Of The Week!

A few weeks ago, Joe and I did a little yard saling.  We were not having much luck and were on our way home when we found this great deal.  When we were browsing the lady running the sale said "could you use some childrens books"?  I said no, but I'll buy the table they are sitting on.  She said okay, it's yours for $10.00.  A great farmhouse table in all it's stored in the barn charm.  I will be cleaning this beauty up and adding a fresh coat of paint this week.  I just love a good deal.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game, Take Me Out With The Crowd....

Exciting news... Rebecca made the All-Star Softball team again this year.  This is the best news that a 10 year old can get, at least one that lives and breathes softball.  We are currently finishing up the regular season, we had a few games to make up due to rain cancellations.  Practice for the all-stars should start at the end of the month.  Congratulations Rebecca, we are so proud of you.

The definition of kitsch... The reduction of aesthetic objects or ideas into easily marketable forms.  I love it... Show & Tell Monday ~ Birdless Cages

Several months ago I found these mini nesting bird cages.  They have waited patiently for their make~over which I began this weekend.  I love white buttons so I am using some of those, a little later they will sport some pretty pink grosgrain ribbon and some painted scroll work.  I added a sweet pink rose to the bottom of the smallest one.  By weeks end they will be available on my website.  These are a work in progess and will be beautiful when finished.
